U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued an ABI administrative message notifying Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal users about upcoming changes that they must make to their Internet Explorer web browser settings in order to continue to access the ACE portal.
Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the CBP's electronic system through which the international trade community reports imports and exports and the government determines admissibility.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted to the "ACE News" section of the Automated Commercial Environment Portal an announcement stating that the new ACE reports tool has been reactivated.
CBP has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that it has posted to its Web site a notice of the e-Manifest: Truck phased enforcement actions that truck carriers at all land border ports in Idaho and Montana should expect CBP to take beginning August 6, 2007. CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of May 21, 2007. The Government Accountability Office has issued a report to the Senate Finance Committee in order to address concerns regarding previously identified weaknesses in U.S. Customs and Border Protection's in-bond1 system.

CBP has issued an ABI administrative message announcing that on May 17, 2007, at approximately 3:15 EDT, the remaining unsent preliminary Periodic Monthly Statements (PMSs) for May 2007 were identified and properly routed. (On May 16th CBP announced that due to a systems problem, some preliminary PMSs were not issued on the 15th.)
