On May 24, 2010, APHIS updated its PPQ Export Program Manual. This is an operational manual for Authorized Certification Officials to enable them to inspect and issue Federal Export Certificates for plants and plant products. The Manual also provides information that helps exporters meet the plant quarantine import requirements of foreign countries.
The Bureau of Census has posted its updated calendar of Automated Export System Compliance webinars for June 2010, and AES Compliance local presentations for June and August 2010. Several of the webinars are in Spanish.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has updated its "Trade Outreach via Webinar" schedule to add a new webinar on Consumer Product Safety Commission detention notices. The webinar will take place on June 2, 2010 from 2:00-3:00.
The Food and Drug Administration has announced a Food Labeling Workshop on August 4 and 5, 2010 in Fayetteville, AR, which is intended to provide information about FDA food labeling regulations and other related subjects to the regulated industry, particularly small businesses and startups.
