OFAC Sanctions 2 Chinese Companies, Others Supplying Russia With Drone Parts
The Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned three entities and one person it said are involved in the development and production of Russia’s Garpiya series long-range attack drones, which Moscow uses in its war against Ukraine.
OFAC said China-based Xiamen Limbach Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd. produces the L550E engine that is used in the unmanned aerial vehicles, and China-based Redlepus Vector Industry Shenzhen Co Ltd works with U.S.-designated Russian defense firm TSK Vektor OOO, a company that connects Chinese suppliers to the Russian Garpiya project.
Russian national Artem Mikhailovich Yamshchikov is the general director of TSK Vektor, OFAC said, and also directs and owns Russia-based Limited Liability Company Trading House Vector. Yamshchikov helps to direct procurement for TSK Vektor, including by buying sensitive UAV parts for Russia.
