State Dept. Approves 4 Military Sales
The State Department approved possible military sales to South Korea, Australia, Finland and the Netherlands, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Aug. 19.
A $3.5 billion military sale to South Korea would include "AH-64E Apache Helicopters” and related logistics and program support. The principal contractors would be Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
The $100 million military sale to Australia is for “FGM-148F Javelin Missiles” and related equipment. The prime contractors will be the Javelin Joint Venture between RTX Corp. and Lockheed Martin.
The agency also approved a $70 million sale to Finland of "M1156A1 Precision Guidance Kits" and related equipment. The principal contractor will be Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems.
The Netherlands would get $305 million worth of “CH-47 and AH-64 Helicopter Training” and related equipment. There is no principal contractor.
