Commerce to Host Supply Chain Summit Next Month
An upcoming supply chain summit hosted by the Commerce Department and the Council on Foreign Relations will bring together industry and government leaders to discuss ways to improve supply chain resilience.
The summit will take place in Washington on Sept. 10, Commerce said, and will highlight the agency’s new Supply Chain Center in the International Trade Administration’s Industry and Analysis unit, a “first of its kind” effort that will combine industry expertise and data analytics to study supply chain challenges, including those involving emerging technologies. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said the summit will help Commerce “engage with industry and highlight strategies the Biden-Harris Administration is leading to develop data-driven tools and proactively make our supply chains more secure.”
Commerce said it will release more information about the summit and the new Supply Chain Center in the “near future.”
