Democratic Senators Ask CBP to Explain Solar Anti-Stockpiling Actions

Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., and Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, are asking CBP to explain how it will enforce a condition for importers of solar panels from Southeast Asia, which is that panels that entered during a two-year pause on antidumping deposits be installed within 180 days of entry.

The two wrote:

Ossoff and Brown, whose states are both home to solar panel manufacturers, had argued against the pause on duties in the trade remedies circumvention case, and also argued for higher Section 301 tariffs on Chinese panels, cells and wafers.
