CPSC Proposes Adding CO Limits, Shutoff Requirement to Proposed Standard for Portable Generators

The Consumer Product Safety Commission on April 20 issued a supplemental proposed rule that would modify a proposed safety standard for portable generators issued in 2016 (see 1611180035 to add limits on carbon monoxide emissions and require generators to shut off when specific emissions levels are reached. Comments on the supplemental proposed rule are due by June 20.
