Thailand, Hainan Sign Mini FTA

Thailand and China’s Hainan province signed a mini free trade agreement that will promote trade in agricultural and industrial products and provide other benefits, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council reported Sept. 30. The deal will remain in effect until Aug. 20, 2023, and could be the start of other agreements between Thailand and Chinese provinces, HKTDC said, as Thai officials are “keen to sign similar deals.”
