OET OKs Virgin Orbit Satellite Launch Vehicle

Virgin Orbit received FCC Office of Engineering and Technology approval for the S-band transmitter to go on its Launcher One satellite launch vehicle, to be launched from a modified 747. Virgin Orbit said Launcher One would be dropped and launched off Point Mugu, California, and the S-band transmitter is for telemetry and video transmission from Launcher One. The experimental license was granted Tuesday (see here).
