CPSC Updates Guidance on Labeling of Paint Strippers
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is updating its guidance on labeling for paint strippers containing methylene chloride. CPSC will now recommend more strongly worded warning labels on paint strippers containing the chemical, with additional information on how methylene chloride can be deadly if used in enclosed areas. Back panel warning labels should include additional information, including on first aid for methylene chloride exposure, CPSC said.
