AT&T said it’s buying 49 Advanced Wireless Services spectrum licenses from Aloha Partners. AT&T didn’t give the financial terms of the deal, which it said is meant to help the carrier “stay ahead of soaring demand for mobile Internet services.” The AWS licenses being acquired cover 50 million people across 14 states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
