Executive Communications to Congress on April 12-14

The following are trade-related highlights of the Executive Communications sent to Congress on April 12-14, 2011:

Exports to China. The Secretary of Commerce transmitted a report relative to the export to China of items not detrimental to the U.S. space launch industry; to the Committee on Foreign Relations. (EC-1349)
MOU with Canada. The Department of Defense transmitted, pursuant to Section 27(f) of the Arms Export Control Act and Section 1(f) of Executive Order 11958, Transmittal No. 5-11 informing of an intent to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Canada to the Committee on Foreign Affairs. (1250)
National emergency with Syria. The Secretary of the Treasury transmitted a six-month periodic report on the national emergency with respect to Syria that was declared in Executive Order 13338 of May 11, 2004 to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. (EC-1318)
FDA food inspections. The Secretary of Health and Human Services transmitted the Food and Drug Administration's annual report to Congress relative to efforts to coordinate and cooperate with other Federal agencies with responsibilities for food inspections to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Whistleblower laws. The Securities and Exchange Commission transmitted a report about its activities in FY 2010 to ensure accountability for anti-discrimination and whistleblower laws related to employment to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. (1254)
