- APHIS Proposes Hass Avocado Import Reqs for Mexico to Puerto Rico

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has issued a proposed rule to, among other things, provide for the importation of Hass avocados from Mexico into Puerto Rico under the same current systems for U.S. import from Michoacán, Mexico, which include orchard certification, trace back labeling, port-of-arrival inspection, etc. Comments are due by July 13, 2010.
