AD: Japan Ball Bearings and Parts Thereof
Amended Final Results of AD Duty Administrative ReviewThe International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice that amends the final results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review of ball bearings and parts thereof from Japan for the period of May 1, 2003 through April 30, 2004, in order to correct certain ministerial errors made in the calculations for the final results for NPB and NSK, as follows:
AD Cash Deposit Instructions for a Time of Entry On/After 10/21/05:
Company | AD Duty Rate or Note |
---|---|
Nippon Pillow Block Co., Ltd. (NPB) | 23.57% (from 15.83%) |
NSK Ltd. (NSK) | 8.25% (from 8.28% ) |
Assessment Instructions for the Review Period (05/01/03 - 4/30/04):
The ITA states that it will issue appropriate assessment instructions directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 15 days of publication of these amended final results of review. Where the importer-/customer-specific assessment rate or amount is above de minimis (i.e., at or above 0.50 percent), the ITA states it will instruct CBP to assess duties on all entries of subject merchandise by that importer or for that customer.
According to trade sources, these assessment rates may differ significantly from the AD cash deposit rates listed above.
(See ITT's Online Archives or 09/26/05 news, (Ref:05092630), for BP summary of the final results of this AD duty administrative review.)
