CPSC Updates Safety Standard for Infant Swings

The Consumer Product Safety Commission released a direct final rule Jan. 15 amending its safety standard for infant swings to incorporate the latest revisions to the ASTM voluntary industry standard, it said. The changes are effective April 3, unless CPSC receives a “significant adverse” comment by Feb. 18. In publishing this rule as a direct final rule, CPSC said it “does not expect any significant adverse comments.”
